Congo (DRC) - Southern Autumn/2014

The Democratic Republic of Congo hosts the longest and bloodiest armed conflict since World War 2. More than two decades have passed since the start of this endless war, which has killed millions of people. With one of the world's worst Human Development Indexes, Congo is a country ravaged by violence, poverty, disease and the greed of his own elite and neighboring countries, which profit billions of dollars because of its instability. The epicenter of this crisis that has dragged on for decades and has no foresight towards an end is the province of North Kivu, on the border area with Rwanda and Uganda, where these pictures were taken.
