Angola - Southern Winter/2008

Angola has been experiencing the longest peace time since it's bloody civil war (1974-2002), has come to an end with the death of the controversy Jonas Savimbi. Since then Angola became one of the largest oil producers in the world, is a member of Opec and, for years, saw billions of dollars flow into its fragile economy. A lot of people became rich in this new Angola, but the majority of its population remains as poor as ever, living in really bad conditions. Those pictures are from about this Angola that stills lives in a sad past.
